

Amongst inventors, there is a widespread belief that if you “build a better mousetrap” the world will beat a pathway to your door. In the vast majority of cases this is far from the reality. Marketing the product and generating sales is often far and away the most difficult, expensive and time consuming part of the inventive process. Dreams of getting the product into the big retailers are usually just that – dreams.
