If you have no experience of supply chain and production management this can be one of the most difficult tasks in the inventive process. Many inventors come to grief by picking the wrong manufacturer or failing to put proper contracts in place before placing orders.
Finding a manufacturer is only the start - delayed delivery, poor quality, damage in transit, failure to understand the inventor’s requirements, price increases, tooling costs are just some of the issues that MUST be managed.
Often a good solution is to find a reputable manufacturers agent – particularly if overseas manufacture is being considered.
We can help you manage these issues. However, in the majority of cases, you may be better advised to seek out a licensee, or partner, organisation that already has access to the appropriate manufacturing resources.
